Summary
From the best selling author of the Killer Boys series comes a new sports romance...
The Crimson Hawk’s are my dream team.
Playing for them for the last few years has been the best time of my life.
I worked hard for my chance to be here, playing alongside my best friends, and wouldn’t change a thing.
After losing my dad, all I wanna do is make him proud day in and day out every time I get out on that ice.
Until he comes along, and ruins everything I’ve been so used to.
The man who I once called my stepbrother, my best friend, my lover.
But he gave me too many reasons to hate him.
I made my peace with losing him years ago.
But how am I supposed to keep hating him when he’s my new left winger, taunting me on and off the ice?
Foster Callcott is the bane of my existence, and I don’t know how long I can keep hating him.
"I just want to play nice again, Foster"
An author's note is located at the front of the book with any warnings before listening.
Coldest Kind of Love is a high heat, high angst, high banter book. The characters fall into each other hard and fast. This book is intended for 18+.
This story ends in a HEA that the characters work hard for. professional hockey/step brothers/second chance/lovers to enemies to lovers/rival teammates/no third act breakup.

Although Coldest Kind Of Love is unlike any other book I've read by M.P. Bates, it has everything I've come to expect from her. Captivating characters, an exciting story, and a deeply erotic love story.
M.P. Bates' first hockey romance is a heart-pounding roller coaster ride of emotions. Ronan and Foster's story is one of friends turned enemies turned lovers, full of misunderstandings and deep feelings.
As the mother of a person with autism spectrum disorder, I can only say bravo for the realistic portrayal of the inner thoughts of an affected person! It is the first time I have not had to read about such a person's aversion to physical closeness. Finally, a person with a deeper need for intense physical contact than others has been described.
This book is highly recommended and has once again confirmed my love for M.P. Bates books.
Narrator: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
When I found out that there was going to be an audio version, of course I had to have it. At first I had a hard time getting used to MP's new narrator. In the end, when I talked to friends about it, one of them told me to increase the playback speed. The effect was amazing. I could finally enjoy this version as much as the book.

step brother spice
narrator was pleasant to listen to. the story had good moments but defo needed some more edits. spice was hooot tho. as an Irish person though the random use of saviour in Irish took me out as no back story was offered there. it wouldn't be used as a term of endearment
