Summary
Can the damage done by another be reversed, after Ferron makes the biggest mistake of his life?
Ferron Robertson is a lost soul searching for someone and something to connect with after suffering great loss. In The Playroom, he finds his center in submission and the grief he lives with becomes easier to manage.
That is, until he makes a fateful mistake.
Life for some is never an easy journey and after being rejected in the one place he feels safe, Ferron goes somewhere that is anything but safe to him. Now he must battle not only himself, but the Dom who refuses to let him go.
Ferron’s Journey: Damaged Part One, The Playroom series, is an MM gay suspense with BDSM and a cliffhanger ending. This is the first part of a trilogy and written from Ferron’s POV.
Warning: This book has aspects of a non-consensual relationship, with possible triggers due to scenes of abuse.

Disturbing but with hope
This book comes with a trigger warning and I think it’s super important to read it. This book is disturbing and there are scenes that were hard to listen to. This book is extreme, but I know people who’ve been in bad relationships where much of the reactions were the same.
I’ve read the first three books of The Playroom series, so I knew Ferron would survive his captivity, but I think it was good I got the ‘before’ story. I did not, of course, know Ferron’s backstory – his parents, his life, his neediness. What brought him to The Playroom, and what drove him away. I also knew he would recover from the trauma he’s enduring and even go on to form a bond with Lenny. But knowing that didn’t alleviate the worry and pain as he went through such abuse.
The book is entirely from Ferron’s point of view, so I was right there for all of it. I’m looking forward to the next book.
Will put in a plug for Matt Haynes. I always enjoy his narration and he did a good job with this one as well.

Brilliant
I loved the book but listening to Matt Haynes narration is excellent. The way he has Ferrons mind voices is perfect . It draws you into the book.
