About this listen
Two years ago I made her my final girl. Perhaps I'm a little obsessed. The shrine covering my bedroom wall would certainly agree. I've even played out a few scenarios that end with her taking my knife in much more creative ways than usual.
Today is the day I finally take her life.
I'm ramping up the carnage and tying up loose ends in bloody bows. There's another serial killer in Umbra Valley and the Massacre Maniac won't be outdone. However, our local femme fatale isn't waiting around for me to kill my obsession. Appears she hates me as much as I hate her.
"Meet at midnight", that's what the letter says. Cute.
Don't tango with the devil, sweetheart. You're about to learn that he doesn't play fair.
Expect this thriller romance to include:
Rival serial killers
MxF dark romance
Masks + Hidden Identities
Dangerous lovers who never stop going for the kill
Author Notes: Each book in the Umbra Valley series will feature a new couple. This book can be listened to as a standalone.

Bizarre
This book is totally bizarre, and I loved it! These characters are 100% unhinged. The chemistry between them is incredible. A fantastic performance.

Twisted and trigger filled
My dark little heart absolutely loved this.
These two are completely irredeemable, two serial killers falling in love. The obsession and attraction between them is crazy hot.
The subject matter is trigger filled with violence and gore. Don't think just because they want each other that they will stop trying to end each other too.
Kept me on edge all the way to the end. I honestly didn't know how it would go, if one or both would die. How do you give a serial killer couple a happy ending?
Looking forward to the end teaser being explored further and meeting new characters.

Loved the dual narration of Colt Carter and Ash Kingsley
This is a dark romance so but is full of humour . Two serial killers fall in love. Both are completely irredeemable , obsessive and the attraction between these two is hit.
There is violence and gore. Both are twisted and they will stop trying to end each other too.
Will these two serial killers have a happy ending?

Just WOW!
Well I wasn't prepared. This book, just wow! I love being surprised by a story, and this being my first Lux Oleander book I went in cold. And I loved it! The perfect mix of darkness and romance, twisted and gory! Jake and Zoe have a lot in common. Not like your normal couples, these two have fallen in love over the craziest of things. Twists, turns, interesting decisions and even taking a bullet for love, this book is perfect for this time of year! If you are a dark, twisty romance listener, you too will love it.
Making it all come to life is Colt Carter and Ask Kingsley. These two are phenomenal together as these characters. Each one finds Jack and Zoe's essence, bringing out each facet of their personality and it's amazing. I loved this narration and will be watching for these two in the future.

My Thoughts on Meet at Midnight
As far as introductions to new authors go, this was a pretty good one. I found a dark humor in this slasher romance that I really enjoyed. Sure, there were some moments that could make some people uncomfortable, but for those with few to no triggers and who don’t mind it when their characters not only get their hands dirty but get downright homicidal, then this might be right up your alley. I know I enjoyed it. I got a little worried for a moment that things might have broken beyond repair, but the author put it back together beautifully. Another really good part of this story experience was the narration. Both performers brought life to their characters and gave great energy. I had fun listening to them and would enjoy trying them again. Same with this author.

Twisted
This was an intense game of cat & mouse. Jack & Zoey are both twisted and depraved, but when the dark side of fate brings them together, it becomes a game of survival & lüst. Will they both survive or will their baser instincts come between them?

Slasher Romance
Meet at Midnight by Lux Oleander is a slasher romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Colt Carter and Ash Kingsley. This is the first book in the Umbra Valley series and can be read as a standalone.
I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn’t wait to see how everything would play out. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Jack and Zoe. I loved getting both of their points of views throughout the book.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series Find Me If You Dare to be released. I am really enjoying this universe.
Colt and Ash did a great job in the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you’re looking for a slasher romance, horror romance, or dark romance.

Meet at Midnight
😳
Ok, when I signed up to listen to this audiobook... this is not what I expected to get.
I am a #crimejunkie and #spookybeech and this book talked to my soul.
I honestly did not expect this book to be the way it is. UGH! It's so hard to write a good review without ✨spoilers✨.
I think a new dark romance genre has been unlocked for me and I need them all.
The chemistry between Jack and Zoe is off the charts and it kept me entertained throughout. I think I'll do a relisten ot this around Halloweentime because that's the vibe it gives off.
Overall highly enjoyed it.
