Ruthless War
This was a great short, dark story! Amaya has worked her ass off to get this merger so she could become the new operations manager of the company. She thought she had it all- a ruthless personality, top of the company, and their best asset. Turns out, there’s someone else who thinks and demands the same things as her along with obedience. Justin just took her job and she declares war willing to do whatever it takes to get what belongs to her. The relationship, lust, and ruthlessness between them could burn a house down- it’s that hot. I enjoyed seeing how far each would take their determination no matter how much it would destroy the other. Things went too far on many occasions, but they actually fell for each other along the way and ended in a HEA.
Donovan did an incredible job with this narration! He perfectly voiced Justin and his female voice for Amaya was easy to listen to. His tone elevated the heatedness and toxicity of their war and his performance kept me hooked until the very end!

Different kind of love story
The title of this book definitely described this book in the best way possible. This truly was a story of power, lust, love, and war. I had a hard time connecting to the story and the characters. At times, I felt like I was suffering from metal whiplash, one minute they love each other and their passion is through the roof and then the next they are angry and looking for revenge. Perhaps I may have connected more with this book had I read it instead of listened to the audiobook.
The narration was possibly the reason I struggled to connect with this book. I had a hard time connecting with the narrator and his style. Personally, I felt the narrator did not fit the characters and that it may have been better as dual narration.

This book has a great storyline and I truly enjoyed it! This book is very relatable. I recommend this story to anyone who loves a great story!

Rough
I normally like the troupe enemies to lovers but this just had a dark, mean streak. They said horrible things to each other and he was beyond to rough physically with her. The things they kept doing to each other was just over the top and didn't have any reasoning behind it. In the end things turned around and came out great. The narrator did a fantastic job. I liked the story and plot but it was just darker and rougher than I thought.

Fire and Fire
Amaya and Justin. Two great alphas battling to be the one on top. Mr. Kane is a new voice to me and he made this story fire. Its not always easy to give up control but when you do it is totally worth it in the end. This is a must listen

Hot short listen
Amaya thought she was next in line to manage the company she worked so hard for but she was wrong. Along comes Justin and steals the job away from and he’s not used to being told NO , well he’s in for a shock if he thinks Amaya is going to bow down to him.
