This was a heart wrenching but beautiful book #2 of The Evolution of Sin Trilogy.
Elle secretly leaves Sinclair in Mexico to reunite with her family in New York, thinking that she'll never see him again and that he will only be a treasured memory.
Then calamity strikes as Elle steps into her mother's kitchen and comes face to face with none other than Sinclair himself when all hell breaks loose!
They really do try and stay away from each other but their love is too strong. Ultimately, this series is about the MCs finding each other, themselves and their sexual awakening.
Watching Elle and Sin deal with the realities of their choices and decisions was heartbreaking to read at times. The angst, anticipation and forbidden longing was palpable and left me rooting for nothing more than an HEA for these two.
I can't wait to see how it ends and how many more mountains they have to climb!

Addictive next book in the trilogy
The Secret continues Giselle and Sinclairs love affair and this book is still just as consuming as the first book. again I much preferred the audio over reading the story as I did a few years ago.
What I loved about this book was we got to see more humanity to both characters. Now we are away from their holiday affair bubble in Mexico, we get to see them in their everyday lives. Both learning how to balance their attraction and the loyalty to their family and significant other.
The Secret is a complex story but one that I think has a strong foundation in reality to show that love has no moral boundaries when you find your person it's hard to walk away from that. I'm excited to listen to the final book in the trilogy to round out the story.
