「どつどど どどうど どどうど どどう 青いくるみも吹きとばせ すっぱいかりんも吹きとばせ どつどど どどうど どどうど どどう」。この歌は、主人公の又三郎のいわばテーマソングです。二学期の初日、山の分校に転校してきた又三郎。鉱山技師の子供でちょっぴり生意気な子は、忽然と現れ、忽然と去っていきます。まるで二百十日の台風のように、ガラス戸をガタガタ鳴らし、木々を青じろく揺らして登場したので、子供たちは「風の又三郎」というあだ名をつけました。一年生から六年生まで一緒に授業を受け行動する様が、それぞれの学年に応じて個性豊かに描かれています。竹中直人が、山の小学校の子供たちのわんぱくさをいきいきと表し、風の又三郎の不思議さや自然への畏敬を情感豊かに語ります。
