Summary
Who in Galactic Central Command gives a rip about some lug nuts and a requisition form? I mean, who really cares that a systems engineer ordered 160 of them? Except those lug nuts changed everything and now he's called before a court marshal under accusation for treason, mutiny, theft, and murder. All because of those 160 lug nuts.
What's so important about a bagful of hardware?
Critic reviews
“Schaubert’s words have an immediacy, a potency, an intimacy that grab the reader by the collar and say, ‘Listen, this is important!’ Probing the bones and gristle of humanity, Lancelot’s subjects challenge, but also offer insights into redemption if only we will stop and pay attention.” ( Erika Robuck, national best-selling author of Hemingway’s Girl)

"Requisition form 1408F as exhibit R."
"Requisition form 1408F as exhibit R."
Pathetic, perhaps, but I'm not completely sure what a out but is, even now. But that doesn't matter despite much of the 13 minutes (yes, that's all) being about them. It's the final sentences that matter. And what an hilarious ending.
Great writing which draws the reader's curiosity on to the unexpected finish, all read by Daniel Force's perfect timing. His is a great performance.
My thanks to the rights holder who has made this book freely available on Free Audio book codes to anyone who wants to download it.
Short, snappy, funny - recommended S.F.

Short and smart, a fun quick listen
The story is ludicrously short, but the author manages to pack in enough for you to get a decent understanding of what's going on. The reader adds an extra layer to the characters, with distinctive voices that in such a short running time is vital to the overall enjoyment of the story. The story was relatively predictable and having been involved in procurement myself, I understood more of the context and terminology than I should probably admit to!
Overall, this felt like one of those anecdotes that people in a courtroom gallery might talk about in the bar afterwards, tying to get to the bottom of what 'really' happened. Perfect for a tea break.

12 minutes well spent
I would never normally get such a short book, but was offered a complimentary copy. 160 lug nuts is brilliant and has a great twist in true military fashion!

Court & numbers
Going in I knew numbers made my brain glaze over, but I didn't know court proceedings could do the same thing.
