Summary
This audio course focuses on the Chinese dialect of Xiang, sometimes called Hsian or Hunanese, as spoken in the Central Southeastern region of China in Huanan and portions of Guangxi, Guizhou, and Hubei provinces.
Xiang was the language spoken by Mao Zedong. Variations of Xiang are currently spoken by approximately 40 million people. This course offers a basic introduction to key words and phrases in this important Chinese language. Topics covered include the words and phrases that are likely to be most useful to young language speakers, such as greetings, questions and answers, colors, numbers, places, animals, and many more. Content is divided into 28 daily sessions combined with review sections for once the course is complete. This is an ideal way for your child to speak and understand basic Xiang Chinese.
