Summary
Her magic is uncontrollable. And so are her feelings for her four classmates...
Cassandra Clarke wishes she could keep her sorcery from running wild. On a mission to take down a demon, she’s horrified when her misfired spell destroys the town’s defense against more of the incoming monsters. So, when her fed-up guild dispatches her to the Enchanted Academy, she’s eager to hone her abilities and, maybe, even cozy up to a few handsome fellow students.
Between the challenging coursework and a troublesome bad boy, she falls hard for both a brainy mage and a mysterious shifter. But beyond the gated grounds, Cassandra discovers that a power-hungry wizard is drawing near, intent on stealing magic. And with her tightly bound companions steadily growing in strength and passion, she knows they’ll soon be the enemy’s prime target.
Can Cassandra and her red-hot heroes work together to defeat a rising evil?
A Case of Conjuring is the captivating first book in the Enchanted Academy paranormal romance reverse harem series. If you like big-hearted heroines, irresistible chemistries, and mystical stories, then you’ll love Evie Wilde’s engaging tale.

Big hearted heroine to the rescue ...
But she needs help! & she has 4 helpful male students to her aid! mix that with the obvious jealous & bitchy characters and a general schoolyard attitude and you have a magical academy. Cassandra may get it wrong a lot but she certainly doesn't stop trying.
This book reminded me of the court of war books (but there was a mention of parallel realms ... so?!) but this feels more innocent.
Definitely recommend a read if you like witty, fast, magical stories, packed with grit and depth and imagination that is well written & Narrated.

I had fun
It was a fun magic-school story, but I felt the first half did more telling than showing. We learn half of her relationship dynamics with the guys from her talks with her BFF and the adult man than from her actually interacting with said guys.
And while I enjoy the setting, I feel Cass should be a bit more remorseful about the fact that people have died from her actions pre-Academy.

An exciting, fast paced read
I really enjoyed this book, it was fast paced, exciting and action packed, impossible to put down once started.Cassandra's magic skills are a disaster, and after yet another mishap, she has to attend the Enchanted Academy. This was a fun and entertaining read, and I can't wait for the rest of the series, Victoria Mei's narration was great.

Paranormal Reverse Harem
A Class Of Conjuring by Evie Wilde is a paranormal reverse harem series that I listened to on audio narrated by Victoria Mei.
This is the first book of Evie’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. You can’t help but fall in love with Cassandra, Dash, Kyler, Oliver, and Braeden. I cannot wait for the second book in the series A History Of Hexing to be released on audible.
Victoria did an amazing job on the narration. She really knows how to bring a story to life.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Paranormal Romance or Reverse Harems.

Enjoyed it
A Class of Conjuring by Evie Wilde is the first book in the Enchanted Academy Series. This reverse harem story was fast-paced, humorous, full of action, steam, magic, mayhem, lust, drama, suspense and mystery and will take you on a magical adventure. I enjoyed and will recommend it to lovers of RH romance.
The audiobook was narrated by Victoria Mai. She did a great job with the characters and brought the story to life. I enjoyed listening to her narrate this novel.

Enjoyed this story and the narration
I enjoyed this story and I love the way that not everyone is happy about what is going on between them. It always feels more realistic when at least one person doesn't want it or isn't sure. I really like the idea behind the story and the world they are living in. Victoria Mei does a great job with the narration, I didn't mix up any of the characters. The end of this book left me with so many questions!!!!

Excellent
I received this book free for an honest review
As Cassandra’s magic goes wild again and she destroys the towns defences letting in more of the demons she was trying to kill she is sent by her guild to Enchanted Academy.
On entering the academy she realises her infamy precedes her and most students are very wary or frightened of her.
She slowly makes friends with 4 guys who have been tasked to protect her as they are told she will be the one to save the academy. Loved Cassandra’s attitude and the fact she keep her head up and tries not to let the other students get to her the interaction between her and the guys set to protect her starts off slowly but most admit to each other they have feelings for her. All that is except Dash who denies his feelings and his animosity towards her really upsets her but when he admits his feelings the chemistry between them heats up. As usual Victoria’s narration is perfect and when I have some credits I will be buying books 2&3.

A Class of Conjuring
This is definitely the school that Evie needs to go to with her lack of control of her magical capabilities. In this school she learns so much and finds some great guys to help her through. I really liked this book as a beginning to a series and look forward to more. Victoria did an amazing job with narration as well.

Imaginative!
Cassandra is dedicated to being the best witch she can possibly be. Sadly, none of the spells ever seem to go her way. She manages to cause as much chaos as she does salvation. She's been thrown out of multiple cities because of it. If that's not bad enough, her guild has threatened to kick her out and take her powers. The only way they will give her a second chance is if she agrees to go to the Enchanted Academy and graduate. She's more than willing to do so and is just settling into her classes when a power-hungry wizard takes to attacking her and her new friends. I really enjoyed this book very much. It was witty. It was fast-paced. There were many things going on that I was very impressed with. I really liked Cassandra. I mean she just tried so hard. Everybody was constantly downing her over all her mistakes. That made it really easy to empathize with her. I also love how easily adaptable she is with everything. She has this amazing ability to just kind of run with things. Her friend Ruby seems to help her with that as much as possible. She also has quite the group of people willing to protect her no matter what. I guess that's kind of obvious. She is the chosen one. While this was a very fast-paced and enjoyable read, there were some issues I had with the book. There were multiple scenes that I wish had been drawn out just a little more. I could understand their place in the story, but I couldn't understand why they were so rushed over. Also, from what I understand, all of the characters were legal adults. They weren't quite twenty yet, but they were old enough to make their own decisions. So I would assume that the academy is a magical college of sorts. Which is awesome and imaginative. However, it feels like a high school and the characters act like teenagers with teen angst in many parts of the book. This book was narrated by Victoria Mei. I really enjoyed listening to her reading this. The only criticism I really have of her that I can think of off the top of my head is that I wish she'd made the boys' voices just a bit more distinctive from each other. Sometimes I had a bit of trouble telling which of them was speaking or which of their points of view I was hearing. Her reading of Cassandra was great. She brought Cassandra to life in my opinion. I'd definitely listen to other books written by her. While there were some things about this book that I didn't really care for, I really enjoyed the story overall. I thought it was very imaginative and progressive. I also felt like it added some comic relief through the book that can sometimes get left out of books like this. I look forward to reading the rest of the series if for nothing else than to see what happens to Cassandra and her boys. It should be a very interesting read. An enjoyable one as well. Especially if all of the characters have a bit of a personality change.
