Process and Punishment

I finished listening to this book this week. Here is an unsurprising yet deeply unsettling account made all the more remarkable since it's written by a Scottish judge. I can't help but wonder what it says about our times when this book's coming into being doesn’t bring with it some outrage, and that its story seems to reach only a few fellow countrymen and women. Anyway, it's exceptionally well-written with a nice style going on, and it's stormingly narrated. The actual recording is obviously somewhat DIY, but I found no serious issues with the listening quality. There are many good references included here that invite further investigation. Overall, I think this hidden title has to be near essential reading for those who want to understand better the situation we now find ourselves in in Britain regarding children's issues, governance, and our current rule of law more broadly.
