Summary
The number one best-selling series, with over 400 five star reviews on Amazon!
A Realm of Shadows is book five in Morgan Rice's best-selling epic fantasy series Kings and Sorcerers (which begins with Rise of the Dragons)!
In A Realm of Shadows, Kyra finds herself in the midst of a burning capital, attacked by a host of dragons, clinging for life. With her beloved homeland destroyed, The Flames down and the trolls pouring in, Kyra must urgently quest to Marda to retrieve the magic weapon before it is too late - even if it takes her into the very heart of darkness.
Duncan finds himself trapped with the others in the burning capital, and he uses all his wits to find his men, attempt escape, and rally his forces to regroup and attack Pandesia. Across the kingdom, Merk sails with King Tarnis' daughter through the Bay of Death as they abandon the Tower of Kos and sail for the warrior isle of Knossos. Pursued by Vesuvius and his army of trolls, crossing the world's most treacherous waters, they know they have little chance to reach the isle, and even less chance of escape.
Dierdre and Marco survive the tidal wave that destroyed Ur only to find their beloved city under water. With everyone they knew and loved lost and dead, they must pick up the pieces and journey to the one person they know who is left alive: Kyra. Alec, meanwhile, sails back for Escalon with the people of The Lost Isles, holding the precious sword that might just change everything. But none expect to encounter a land destroyed, a land that is now teeming with dragons.
With its strong atmosphere and complex characters, A Realm of Shadows is a sweeping saga of knights and warriors, of kings and lords, of honor and valor, of magic, destiny, monsters, and dragons. It is a story of love and broken hearts, of deception, ambition, and betrayal. It is fantasy at its finest, inviting us into a world that will live with us forever, one that will appeal to all ages and genders.

Very repetitive and short.
OK, let me first say I'm listening to this to finish the story.
But it is very repetitive, the characters all seem to know that they are yet again going to die and dreadful death. Time and time again, the story repets things.
This seemed to be very short.
The best thing in this as with the other book the reader is brilliant.

Realm of repeat
This is now getting so repetitive Iam not sure I weill be able to continue. The story line is becoming so stretched between each event the reception of another character who knows they are going to die! or will not make it is all time consuming. replay it again and again. How many more chapters will this story in fold before we know the date of all or willloose contiousness first?

started good then went looking for a story killing
I started listening to it on Spotify and liked the first book and bought the others on audible. To be clear maybe it's an age thing being 55 at listening, not the target audience of teenager. But this very quickly became difficult to listen too, due to initial killing of all enemy's, not a single prisoner taken. For a book about valor idealeals, killing everyone running away was my first warning at poor writting from the author.
Then through out the books the author kills of swathes of characters you think might be central to the story. Added to that the story has lots of view points, again of characters killed off.
I got to the 5th book but I couldn't finish it. So my recommendations for any teenagers to try anything by:
Anne Macaffery
David Eddings
Robert Jordan
Tad Williams, more adult than teenage books but good reads
