Summary
Two friends. Too many missed chances.
Leopold Halton, the duke of Dammerton, is the man with everything: perfect hair, beautiful waistcoats, and London's finest collection of decorative objects. But two years after his highly entertaining divorce (entertaining for everyone but him, that is), Leo still doesn't have what he wants most: another wife.
Leo is ready to propose to a suitable lady, but with gossip dissecting his every move, the family of his nearly ideal future bride demand that he first stop calling on artist Juno Bell, the first woman he ever kissed and now, a decade later, his friend.
After 10 years of hard work to become an artist, Juno has everything she dreamed of: a flourishing studio, a wealthy patroness, and the freedom to live as she pleases. She even receives visits from a duke (and don't London's gossips love that!).
Juno has always known she can never hold on to Leo, yet when he declares their friendship must end, she finds it harder than expected to let him go. At least, not without a kiss.
After all, if their friendship must end anyway, then they have nothing more to lose...right?
Heartwarming, steamy, and emotional, this historical romance tells the story of a duke and an artist who believe they can never be together but find it impossible to part.

A Scandalous Kind of Duke
This is a fantastic love story, where people's stations ment everything, and one could never marry the wrong sort. With misunderstandings and thinking they are doing thing for the best it has taken these two love birds years to put their true feeling out there. Even better that some of the scandal if factually correct. Read brilliantly by Kate Reading.

not as good as the others
I have read/listened to all the books in the series and I did not enjoy this one as I did the others. Found the story line not great. The other books have parts where I broke out laughing but this one was pretty boring. Struggled to finish it.

Fabulous Storytelling
I’ve absolutely loved this series from Mia Vincy. Beautifully crafted and well researched, these are among the best historical romances I’ve ever read. Her storytelling is exquisite and I really didn’t want the book to finish . The note at the end almost made me cry. This lady brings historical fiction to life in a way very few others manage. Recommended ten times over!

Honestly love
I have waited for this book... and loved it.
The full book series is so wonderfully written Mia brings characters to life, with verve and charm.
This book is no different. It's story can stand alone or with the series. I love the strong female characters. the honest real life feeling in the scenes. the moments that make you chuckle, or feel the sadness in your chest. All bound with a true romance and a bit of saucy content thrown in.
Plus, Kate Reading, is an excellent narrator I have listened to previous works she covers and they are marvellously done.
So really all together it's a pretty fantastic listen. I hope you enjo it too.

Another addition in this series …
And again it was a charming plot attached to the other friends and family we met in the other novels -

Too Confusing
Had three attempts at reading this book but the story was far too long, boring and confusing. As the two main characters were supposed to be boldly spoken types I failed to see why they kept going round in circles repeating the same scenes. Lost the will to live on the third attempt so gave up.
