Summary

Meet Zara Bailey, a travel writer paid to cover some of the globe's most luxurious locations. Jetting from wooden huts on stilts in turquoise seas to boutique hotels with roaring fires to 7* penthouse suites with panoramic views of the world's most glamorous cities... Zara knows hers is the definition of a dream job!

So she is seriously shocked to receive her next assignment; Scotland's Northcoast 500 route. By bicycle. Sleeping in a tent so basic it can't remotely be dressed up glamping!

But this could be just the distraction the recently heartbroken Zara needs. No men, no romance, just the breathtakingly rugged Highland scenery. Until she meets croft owner Lachlan Grant, and his black and white Border Collie Bess, that is...

The stunning new story from the bestselling author of What Becomes of the Broken Hearted. Perfect for fans of Lucy Diamond, Sarah Morgan and Holly Martin.

Lisa's debut novel was shortlisted in the 2014 RNA. Her stories centre around believable, yet down to earth characters and the places in Scotland she has visited and fallen in love with.

Boring narrator

I really wanted to listen to this but just could not get past chapter 4, the narration was monotone and so boring. It is such a shame because the story had such potential. I will be making sure I don't get any more books with this narrator.

Great story, not so great narrator

I have listened to quite a few of the books in this series now ( not in order ) up to now I have loved the way rhe narrator has told the story. not so much this one. there are occasions where she sounds as if she has got to the end of a sentence then adds some more. I have to say that I didn't feelahw put much into it and was quite monotone. This is so different to the other books. they have great narrators. I still enjoyed the story though.

Terrible narration

I’m a die hard Lisa Hobman fan, but oh how I regret buying this book! Absolutely terrible narration - struggled to get into the story, zoned out for chapters at a time… will purchase hard copy and finish myself as I cannot listen to that monotone drone a word longer :-(

Another great story by Lisa Hobman

Loved this story- relatable and funny if a little predictable but still a very enjoyable listen.

Charlotte Hazelby narrated well and brought the characters to life.

As someone who adores the highlands and kings to live there, I could envision the landscapes throughout the story.

Well worth the purchase.

Narration

The character voices were narrated well but the story narration had no rise and fall so sadly was a little monotone.
However tthe story was lovely and the descriptions really made visualising the places easy.
Lovely modern day romantic story.

Terrible narrator

I’ve no idea if this book was is good or not. I got as far as chapter 5 and turned off because of the terrible narration, dull, characterless and incapable of following punctuation.
