Summary
I am going to assume you have the basic information about fasting, perhaps by reading the several books I have written on this subject. I am going to review the last 6000 years regarding fasting to try to explain why we now not only have an obesity epidemic, but also why our lifespan is the same now as it was 3500 years ago, despite our miraculous advances in medicine and public health.
I will review some dietary concepts, but am not going to teach you that again. I cannot keep starting at the beginning and I must assume you now have adequate knowledge.
Needless to say, I will be using the Bible as this has a history dating back 6000 years. I will primarily use this as a reference, but also refer to other sources.
I will present some concepts that you have not heard of before, and which I cannot conclusively prove, but I count on your common sense to evaluate if my conclusions make any sense to you.
