'A stunner ... If you haven't got this book in your house, I don't know why' Chris Evans

'A startling wake-up call . . . Writing with the vim of a Bill Bryson and the technical knowledge of a scientist, Steele gives us a chance to grasp what's at stake' Independent

'An exhilarating journey . . . Steele is a superb guide' Telegraph

'A fascinating read with almost every page bursting with extraordinary facts . . . Read it now' Mail on Sunday

Ageless is a guide to the biggest issue we all face. Ageing – not cancer, not heart disease – is the world's leading cause of death and suffering. What would the world be like if we could cure it?

Living disease-free until the age of 100 is achievable within our lifetimes. In prose that is lucid and full of fascinating facts, Ageless introduces us to the cutting-edge research that is paving the way for this revolution. Computational biologist Andrew Steele explains what occurs biologically as we age, as well as practical ways we can slow down the process. He reveals how understanding the scientific implications of ageing could lead to the greatest discovery in the history of civilization – one that has the potential to improve billions of lives, save trillions of dollars, and transform the human condition.

Great orators in the scientific field like Brian Cox have a new kid on the block in the form of Andrew Steele.

Truly enjoyable to listen to. Explains where we are at in our understanding of ageing and why we need to explore more beyond our individual mortality. His wonder is infectious. Loved the antidotes , sharp English dry wit and everyday comparisons to aid our understanding while firing up our imaginations to the possibilities.

Great for academics

not a layman's read found it not informative on what to do now to remain ageless with the exception of remaining very slim but I suppose that is good advice proven via research

Good overview of antiaging

The book is a solid overview of the current state of the antiaging field. The book seems more of an overview to me rather than prescribing specific things you can implement. I would recommend combining this book with Outlive which had more specifics in the book. Together the two books combine to form a great entrypoint into extending your lifespan

A great overview into the main experiments in aging research

I really liked this book. It gave me a good insight into the different aspects that are being tackled in current research to mitigate or even eliminate the effects of aging. The book is very well narrated and does not overpromise the results of the different techniques being trialed. I recommend it thoroughly!
