About this listen

New city, new troubles. It's going to take all the magic Special Agent Diana Sheen can gather to keep the peace.

But will it be enough?

Diana runs a secret Federal agency that combats magic mixed with wicked. Her team cleans up the worst streets, disguised as bounty hunters.

Challenge number one is a small troll and his ongoing obsession with action films. Good thing he's a helluva fighter too.

Still, is it enough? Dark magic has a new twist born from an ancient cult and they're playing for keeps.

Good thing Agent Sheen knows how to play rough. It's all in a day's work at the secret bureau of the Federal Agents of Magic.

Must Train!

I love Rath almost as much as I love YTT (read/listen to the Leira Chronicles if you don't know who YTT is)

Another fast-paced, action packed book. Diana, Rath (the troll) and Max (the dog) have moved to Pittsburgh and are finding out the Remembrance is a big baddie there and they're out to stop them along with the new members of the BAM team.

Rath loves his action movies and comes out with a few quotes from movies from our time era - love it!

Action packed follow on to the first book, well worth listening to. The narrator is very good and brings the story to life.

Eagerly awaiting book 3 on audio.

Pretty good

I don't regret my time with the book/series, but neither do I think I'll ever relisten to it...
On the other hand, I'm still going to listen to book 3 as well

Not much depth.

These books remind me of those video games where you go into a room, fight all the bad guys, then go to the next room and fight all the bad guys. Repeat repeat. Most of it is compiled of descriptions of fight scenes and a weird joy in the violence. Not much of a story. No character development. Tolerable in book one but it’s getting boring and repetitive now. Glad this was included with my subscription. I’d have hated to have wasted a credit or money on it.

Boring story

I liked the characters but they don’t really get to develop in any real depth. It seemed slow unlike my first encounter with the start of the story nothing seems to change so got bored fast. Would give 2 stars

gave this book up half way through. book 1 book 2 heavy on the violence, low on story line. I won't be going for the rest of the series!
