So glad I found this book. Wonderfully written and narrated. Such a refreshing sci-fi series! I love the whole concept and Murderbot is a fantastic character. Will be binging the whole series!

makes me think of the AI in other stories

I enjoyed it enough to carry on listening to series still makes me think of the AI from Weyland Corp in Alien and other films as your aren't sure whether to trust him at first. then realisation that it's humans that shouldn't be trusted still

Just so so for me

The bobiverse, skippy and other similar characters are what I was seeking here but I just couldn’t get into it. I started listening since book 1 was free - presumably to hook you into buying more in the series. The story had no real substance or heart stopping moments. The main character was interesting but ultimately a little blah. Narrator was decent. I won’t be continuing this series.
