Summary
Six months ago, the Judas virus decimated a small town in North Carolina.
The virus is spreading throughout the United States. It hits fast, and the effects are deadly. The survival of Judas means the end of mankind. The only people who knew the inner workings of the virus are missing and presumed dead. The task of saving the world rests on the shoulders of newly appointed surgeon general, Dr. Quincy Warren.
He is not ready for the monster he is going to encounter.
Am I Dead? is the second book in The Great Dying thriller series, a terrifying look at what happens when greed threatens the existence of mankind.

" An inefficient virus kills it's host...
....A clever virus stays with it. "
Or: "That's some trashy science fiction sh*t."
This is the second in the Great Dying trilogy and is set some six months after the destruction of Black Dog. But the virus has begun to make an appearance in Charlotte and awareness of it's presence begins to leak out despite attempts to suppress the news. The reader learns more about the genesis of Judas and of characters who will be continuing into book three. But this is a series where it is unwise to become fond of anyone...
Action filled, with God's and nastiness, this is possibly the least liked by me of the three volumes (I foolishly started with book three) yet still it was a compelling read. The narration by Alex Black was, again, excellent, and the audio book was a free download from the Free Audio Book Codes website.
A quick listen at only 5 hours approximately and recommended to zombie fans: it is certainly not full and these are not the usual dullards found in most zombie stories.
