It was a good book, but
I enjoyed the aspect of the book the value of family no matter what. David understand that his upbringing is sample and that okay with him; however he wanted more in life at one point. The book was great all the until we get with David and Sadie. I wanted to stop listening where every time one would say something it would say “she said, or Sadie said”, “He said, or David said”. I get that the author is trying to get us to know who is saying what, but when you have a long conversation and the name of the speaker is being mentioned in the sentence. There”s no reason to keep saying or writing he said or she said. It feels as if the writer ran out of things to write about and to complete the amount of words the book require she added these words. It might be okay for many people that’s fine, but at one point I was like Jesus, that’s just one too many. It sucks because I really enjoyed the book until that point. My 9 year old daughter even say “Mommy why they keep saying she said or he said after every sentence” at the end we laugh together but I can’t bring myself to listen to it again just for that. It was great book and I like Becca Fishers stories because of the Christian perspective and faith. David is right “bad things does happen to good people”. Kiya”s performance was amazing very clear and bring out each character’s uniqueness.

Sweet
I've been listening to a few Amish romances lately and this one was my favourite so far. What I liked about this one was the underlying message.
David wants more than his simple Amish life. He dreams of a job in the city and the culture of modern life. He decides to hang up his Amish hat and chase the destiny he wants. When David's mum is taken to the hospital he begins to question his priorities. While at the hospital he meets an Amish girl and sees a glimpse of what he gave up.
This is a sweet romance about appreciating what you have. I really enjoyed this. The narrator was good. The story was cute. I'd recommend this audiobook.
