About this listen
Amid the Christmas chaos, a friend's urgent plea for help places one more challenge on Izzie’s already overflowing plate.
Known for his immense wealth and his impact on private healthcare services, Carson J. Keltce’s murder had ripple effects from the small town of Blanton to Baltimore and beyond. Izzie Di Sante, a restaurant owner with a passion for investigative reporting, is pulled into the investigation when her best friend calls sobbing. Nicole was living with CJ and the police have her pegged as a person of interest. The police question Nicole's involvement, given the strained relationships CJ had with his family and the secrecy surrounding his personal life.
Even though the restaurant is crazy with the Christmas holidays and Chloe's upcoming wedding, Izzie somehow makes time to look into CJ’s murder. Her questions soon ruffle someone's feathers. With each revelation, the danger intensifies, and Izzie must stay sharp to navigate the perilous path ahead and uncover the secrets that led to CJ's tragic end.
help Nicole, find a killer, deal with Christmas at the restaurant, and get ready for Chloe’s New Year’s wedding?
An Itch of Secrecy is the fifth in the Izzie Di Sante Mysteries but easily listened to as a stand-alone mystery. Recipe included.

Don't keep this book a secret
I enjoyed this book. There was a lot going on with a wedding, Christmas celebrations, baking, a friend to help, a restaurant to run and not to mention a murder to investigate. The author got that balance right and the story flowed along nicely, not focusing to much on one thing but still proving to be a good story. I liked the characters and the relationship between them works well, making Izzie a caring and compassionate main character that you want on your side. This is only book five but it feels like I have known the characters for a lot longer and there should be a lot more books. I can't wait for the next book.
Helping to prepare her sister for her wedding day and The Christmas rush at the restaurant gets put on hold when Izzie gets a phone call. Her best friends boyfriend has been killed and The police are looking at her. He was a rich cautious man and didn't do anything before running it by his lawyer, consequently not many people knew he was even dating. His family is pointing the finger at her but was he killed for personal reasons or because of his job? Can Izzie help her friend, enjoy Christmas and celebrate her sisters wedding?
I like the narrator. She gives the characters a distinctive voice making it easy and entertaining to follow along with.
