Not Jaymin Eve quality

I am a massive Jaymin Eve fan and this writing did not feel like her work. The story was actually pretty good and I felt the progression was of a reasonable rate ( not too slow). I enjoyed the finale of this series as it did tie together many of the loose ends.
However, the dialogue was cringe worthy. I know this was written for a younger audience but I refuse to believe our younger generations talk like this. There were also issues with Charlie’s character. She did more 360s than a soap opera’s main female lead. This made the plot sometimes challenging to follow and more importantly ….Charlie was not particularly likeable.
Certain elements were glossed over …..Lucas’s death and Carter’s reappearance in her life.
The narrator was dreadful. Seriously awful which did not help this book.
If you have ironing to do ……it is okay but if you have a long flight ……you will end up annoyed and disappointed.

disappointing

this trilogy seemed to be far more interested in sounding 'young' than focussing on the story arc which had potential but was let down. rather than focussing on how many times you. Can swear or say 'hell yeah' or 'hot af' (seriously boring and irritating) the book should have focussed on its plot holes - the girl that can levitate yet fails to use it 90% of the times she's trapped!? Really? she supposedly does lots of training but never once practices the levitation? Poor. Story plots were prediticable and boring which is made more frustrating by that fact that there was a really decent premise here.
