Summary
Another Life is a powerful, moving and hopeful story of the life-changing impact of the connections we form, by the bestselling author of The Four Winds and The Women, Kristin Hannah.
Angie DeSaria has spent years of her life trying to have a child. Now, her marriage has crumbled under the strain. Adrift and alone, she returns to her childhood home, a small coastal town in the Pacific Northwest, to help try and rescue the beloved, failing family business.
Lauren Ribido is a senior in high school. She dreams of an Ivy League education, escaping her hometown and her troubled mother.
When Angie hires Lauren to work at the restaurant, they form an immediate bond, which deepens when Lauren’s mother abruptly leaves town and Angie offers her a place to stay. But nothing could have prepared Angie for the far-reaching repercussions of this act of kindness. Together, these two women – one who longs for a child and the other who longs for a mother’s love – will be tested in ways that neither could have imagined.

Beautiful
I have been listening to audiobooks books for a long time, when I’m going to sleep or I’m driving but the books by this wonderful writer are different, I turn off the tv, I just can’t turn them off, I close my eyes and it’s like watching a movie in my mind. Her descriptions are just wonderful, I will always remember these books such a privilege to have found Kristin Hannah and Susan Erickson

A very moving story
Beautifullly written and beautifully read. A story of enduring love and loss. I cried at the end. I can’t wait for her next book to be written.

Cute story, not too deep.
I love KH books and this is one of her simpler and cute stories.
Has some gritty topics (baby death, miscarriage, fertility and adoption) but they are handled well and written honestly.
The story was predictable but easy as the characters are likeable.
The narrator was excellent!

Wow spellbinding story.
I read this book a number of years a go so was so happy when it became available on Audible so I could have a copy of the book in my library.
I loved this book and the Journey that Angie and Lauren went on to understand the true meaning of love. Angie was a grate support to Lauren as was Lauren to her and it was grate to see the two characters connect in a special way and help each other through there challanges. This is an author I really liked and i would highly recommend this title.

Wonderful!
Love this story. Yes, it’s predictable but it brings hope in this world that there are people out there who will protect and love another person for all the right reasons.
