Great resource and comfort

A thought-provoking and easy-to-follow book to come to terms with anxiety. It helped me to finally sit down, take the time to understand and accept myself and my journey forward. It is a short read and to the point, easy to go back and revisit whenever I need to ground myself. Highly recommended!

Excellent book. Reassuring and sensible advice

When I stumbled across one of Josh's posts on Instagram, I came across this book. The timing was perfect, as anxiety had crept into my life again recentlt.

The book is both reassuring and straight-forward in its approach to anxiety. I thought I couldn't learn anything new on the topic, I'd read so much about it over the years in a bid to feel relief. But I learned lots here. The umbrella of anxiety is particularly helpful and brought much needed clarity to my overwhelming symptoms and problems.

What I found most helpful - and I'm truly grateful for this - is Josh's calming, sensible and down to earth reassurance. The reminder that this ' is anxiety, just anxiety' and that nothing good will come of following those anxious thoughts. I needed to hear this and had the best night's sleep after listening to this book.

A good guide to what causes anxiety

This book provides a good overview to the causes of anxiety and takes the fundamental approach of 'feel the fear and do it anyway'. Facing up to anxiety is unarguably the only way to beat it but it sometimes needs to be done in a more structured and gradual way where as this just seems to suggest throwing yourself in at the deep end which may or may not work depending on the circumstances. I did not really agreed with giving up caffeine as tried it once and it didn't make any difference but it may help some especially if they have a high intake. I would recommend this book to those who don't have much knowledge about the symptoms of anxiety as this provides a good summary but sadly it's not a magic bullet to take anxiety away.

Amazing

I have been listening to this podcast over 3 days while walking, driving and cleaning. It had helped me to better understand my health anxiety and Joshua has a gentle voice I will definitely be listening to his other podcast audibles.

New to anxiety then this puts it into prospective

I've not been suffering with anxiety for long just over 8 months now, my dad who also suffers with depression and anxiety said that maybe reading about it will help me understand what I'm going through more and make me realise that it is something I can learn to live with. I cam across this book and the title sounded exactly how I was feeling, when I listened to the sample and johua starts listing off all the side affects and feeling that comes with anxiety I instantly felt relieved that I wasn't going mad and every ache and pain was all due to anxiety. It's made me feel more at ease with it all and this book is easy to listen honestly you will find yourself nodding along when he starts mentioning all the different scenarios etc thank you johua

It helped

I've dealt with anxiety for years and years. I never understood the condition and unfortunately doctors did not take it very seriously and completely failed to explain the condition, so I could understand what the hell was going on. I was constantly told "it's probably depression", but I've never really had any symptoms of depression. I've never felt numb or not cared, the problem was the total opposite. I started developing insomnia and I didn't sleep for weeks. There is still a long way to go for me, but listening to this book gave me a much better understanding of what I'm dealing with. Blaming all my issues on anxiety and believing that this condition is not to be feared or permanent has helped me get back on the path to fight it, and already I can feel changes. Thank you so much, I'm am finally having some hope.
