Disappointing
I was disappointed with this both with the story and the narration. The narrative was rather simplistic although I quite liked the twist at the end. The characters were rather undeveloped.

Great story
Gripping and clever. Though the female narrative was beyond annoying!
Although she did a good job of the speech, the narration was like listening to The Pools:
Newcastle 1
Sheffield Wednesday 3
Manchester United 2
Liverpool nil

Story spoiled by the female narrator
Unfortunately the voice did not fit the dialogue of the female characters at all and lacked any kind of realism in the delivery of the lines, what a shame

Really fun yarn
Really enjoyed this and couldn’t put it down. Reminded me of a really good Tales of the Unexpected. Moved at an enjoyable rate and a nice twist,
Slightly annoyed by the narrator who seemed to only have two accents, but the story was worth this minor irritation.

Great book but dreadful narration.
This book is set in the Meagan's past (before the 999 phone call) and in Meagan and Oliver's present. It is a tale of domestic abuse and it's consequences. It has a really creepy feel with several twists and an unforgettable ending.
This could have been a 5* book but I had to deduct a star because I absolutely HATED the character of Oliver. No one is that stupid And it sort of spoiled if for me.
I listened to the Audible version of this but actually wish I'd read it. There are two narrators. James Langton does a good job but Heather Wilds narration is just dreadful. Her voice is monotonous and irritating. She may well be a robot as there is no emotion there at all. Such a shame :-(

Not Sure
I suppose the twist at the end was what made the book. However, I just found myself shouting at the characters and getting annoyed. I'm not sure why anyone in their right mind would kill someone for no reason and why Oliver would have gone along with it when Megan could have just upped and left. Didn't do it for me.
