Enjoyable (if not predictable) story - awful narrator
This book has a decent if not predictable plot. It’s tropey (she’s so small, she’s so clumsy, why would he ever like her) but that’s what we’re reading these books for! However the narrator is AWFUL. Her main fault is that she’s so monotone. Her intonation is flat even in the dramatic parts, and she puts pauses where there aren’t any and doesn’t where there are. There’s minimal variation in character voices. It’s a real shame as with a good narrator this book would be so much better. I’ll carry on to book 2 but will read the print book.

Great story but let down by narrative
Enjoyed the story. Having two narrators for the different main characters would have made this more enjoyable. Also found the narrator difficult to follow.

romantic funny fantasy
This book is now one of my favourites! So funny, cute, romactic and light but yet so suspenseful. I didn't think it was predictable at all and was surprised with the plot twist. I have been kicking my feet most of the time! *Not a spicy book *Grumpy x sunshine

I loved this. hilarious repartee and story.
loved every second and the twist was so unpredictable. I love the main character and the villain it's just so unexpected yet also expected. the story and world building is great too. I can't wait for the sequel!

Enjoyable Slow Burn Misunderstood Villain Story
4⭐ 7.7/10✨
It is a story of a villain who is misunderstood and a story how a girl sees him for what he is more on the inside.
Getting to know his backstory makes him more human and many truths start to unravel.
Nearly not enough spice in this book but the unexpected turn of events and a cliffhanger in the end holds promise for the next book!
And Kingsley the frog with one words signs was the best!
