Liam is pushed to his limits and beyond. Where he believed he would find light, he instead finds darkness. It is in the most unlikely of places that he finds the support and motivation to overcome the seemingly impossible odds leveraged against him.

Injustice delivers

I really enjoyed book two! The pacing is on point, with action sequences that hit hard and fast, but what really stands out is how seamlessly it balances the intensity with those quieter, more introspective moments. Liam’s internal struggles hit just as hard as the physical battles, and it adds so much depth to the story.

One of the things I really loved about this book is the dialogue—it’s sharp, darkly funny, and feels totally natural. There’s this great back-and-forth between characters that keeps the tension alive, but also cuts through the darkness with wit. It’s clever without being overdone, and adds just the right amount of humor when you least expect it.

Liam’s character arc continues to shine. He’s dealing with more than just external enemies—he’s confronting his own limits, morality, and what he’s willing to sacrifice. It’s not just about physical strength anymore, and that’s what makes his journey so compelling. Mala, too, is a standout, pushing Liam in ways that feel meaningful, not just for the sake of it.

The Realm of Delco has this decaying, almost oppressive atmosphere that makes every scene feel high-stakes. You can feel the tension in the setting itself—it’s not just a backdrop, it’s an active part of the story. And the action? Absolutely gripping. Each fight scene is fresh, with high-energy moments that never feel repetitive.

And I’ve got to mention Tom Cox’s narration—it’s brilliant. He brings so much energy and personality to every character. His voice work pulls you right in, making each scene more immersive. Whether it’s the fast-paced action or the quieter, emotional moments, Cox delivers.

I love when a sequel hits as hard as the first book and Injustice nails it. Can’t wait for book three!
