  • Ezekiel realized the seriousness of his calling and how great the responsibility God had placed on his shoulders was. Ezekiel 3:16—21.

    Ezekiel is the prophet of human responsibility. While some people blamed God for their sad plight, others blamed their ancestors, Ezekiel made it clear that each individual is held responsible and accountable before God (ch. 18).

    Personal responsibility is the key here for the watchman and the people.
