The Case of The Missing Congresswoman

  • Summary

  • Texas Representative Kay Granger hadn't voted on a bill since late July. Since then, her voice has been set to voicemail and her office has been boarded up. She was not reported missing and two million people she represents had no idea she disappeared. How can a person vested with so much power simply vanish without the rest of Congress, the media, the voters or-- let's face it--- the special interest groups noticing? More and more the Chambers of Congress are a nursing home, incompetent elderly statesmen like Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi hold onto the reigns of power-- but who is changing their diapers? It's a shameful thing to point fingers in a Presidential election about who is really a threat to democracy when we don't even care if democracy goes on extended vacation.
