Summary

As he rode into Dunphyville, Dan Harrigan noted the broken windows, smashed doors, collapsing verandas. The Blacksmith's shop had been set on fire, the saloon wrecked, and the general store shot up. He nodded knowingly. There were only a dozen buildings in this small town, but they all bore the Mark of Angus "Black" MacTee.

Dan Harrigan and Angus MacTee were friends and partners once; but their mutual love for pretty Kate Malone had turned them into mortal enemies. Forced to join together in a grim fight to save Kate's life, both men turned their rage on each other - and a tornado couldn't have done more damage!

Editor reviews

Lawman's Heart, Whitewater Sam, and Black Thunder are just three of the nearly 500 novels written by the renowned pulp Western author and screenwriter Max Brand. Though he died in 1944, the fact that his stories continue to be published is a testament to both his prolificacy and his ability to craft timeless stories that take unique approaches to familiar Western themes.

Paul Christy's gritty yet accessible performance transports the listener to the frontier while these action-packed tales of revenge, honor, and loyalty unfold.
