Slow burn
Didn’t like the narrator’s voice although it had a strange hypnotic sound which put me to sleep very quickly first time. Very interesting about the LAPD and I believe Marilyn monroe didn’t commit suicide

Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely
Enjoyed this book but left feeling incredibly sad for the way Marilyn Monroe was exploited. If the conclusion is correct any smidgen of like I had for the Kennedys, and this is relative to other dislikeable politicians, has evaporated. Fate perhaps played out its hand in 63 and 68.

Interesting but flawed
I have no doubt that Marilyn was murdered and I’d like to trust this book, but it gets fundamental things wrong, such as the date of the assassination of JKF (the book says 23 November instead of 22 - chapter Some Like It Hot p128). There were a few other things too that I can’t quite recall… it’s baffling that something so simple was overlooked.
