Summary
Magic isn't Taken - it's Inherited.
Eighteen-year-old Meena Song wants a normal life with a normal job and normal friends. Well, that ain't happening.
An unbelievable secret is revealed in the worst possible place - a public bathroom. Yup, gross, but still not the strangest thing she'll see today.
Who gets invited to a magical academy if you have zero magical ability? Meena does. Witches are real, but most of them are a-holes. Now, she has to figure out why she was brought to this prestigious manor in the woods, filled with lies, cliques, and one incredibly hot jerk that Meena can't seem to avoid.
Broken Wand Academy is a stand-alone episodic series that also shares the same universe as Marisa Claire's Academy of Shifters series. There's more to this world than you can possibly imagine. Watch for a future crossover series!

Enjoyable book let down by the narration
I received a free copy of this audiobook in return for an honest review.
Though short, this story was interesting and fun, and sets up for what looks like it could be a really good series. There's enough mystery a world building to leave me keen to know what happens next.
I really didn't like the narration though. It was quite monotone and didn't flow well. There were also some interesting pronunciations of words and some obvious mistakes. I do want to continue with this series and using the same narrator wouldn't completely put me off, but a different one could make this audiobook so much better.

Exciting
This is a very enjoyable and exciting short story. The great narration really suits the characters with the narrator using different tones to differentiate each character. This is a great start to a new magical, mystery series and leaves you wanting more.
I loved the unusual and surprising way Meena’s magical skills started working.

Short introduction
This was such a short listen but I loved it! It was. A great introduction to a new world and school and mystery to go with it! Once it gets into the action it just ends tho. I definitely want to know what happens next!

Short, but promising
This was a short, but decent story. I only say decent because it's really introductory.
It starts with Meena's introduction, and the introduction to the Broken Wand Academy, the colleagues, and when the action starts, puff... the book ends. I really enjoyed meeting Meena, and the plot has a lot of mistery that I'm expectant to see unraveled.
Also I'm really curious how this line will join with the Academy of Shifters series (yeah, I've already listened to Teacher's Pet, so...)
Waiting for the next one ^^
Regarding the narration, it was a bit monotone, but I got used to it, and it went smoothly until the end.

Amazing
What a great start to a series. Great narrator telling the story, really easy to listen too. Starts off with the main characters finding out that she has magic and in a short space if time she is in the middle of mystery trying to find out why one of the students from the magic school was killed. I am really looking forward to the next book. If you read it you won't be disappointed.

Ok
Although I found the story good I think this was aimed at younger listeners than me . I couldn’t really connect with the characters and I found the narrator lacking she took pauses where there shouldn’t have been pauses and spoiled the book.

Fast-paced and great!
This magical adventure didn't last long enough! It was a great introduction to Meena, Broken Wand Academy and everyone there. Once the story really picks up it's pace and the action starts, the story ends. I can't wait to listen to the next part, and see what happens!
The narrator did an amazing job distinguishing and giving each characther their own voice - made it so much easier to follow along to the story!

sorry narration makes it hard to listen to
Its a short book of 6hrs listening roughly but it was painful as the narration paused on every fifth word. I only persevered as the story was interesting.
I am torn as to listen to the next episode because of how it has been read.
