Networking: It’s the most effective way to build a career, right? It is if you do it the right way, building trust along with your list of contacts. Tiffany Pham, author of You Are a Mogul, shows you how making connections is just the start. How you treat them is what really matters.

Pham teaches you how to be a giver and not an exploiter, treating your network as a collection of lasting friendships that require nurturing and communication. She shares how networking can help you conquer imposter syndrome by giving you opportunities to show your strengths.

Key Takeaways:

• How to think of networking as building friendships

• Expand - and impress - your network by volunteering your skills

• How to overcome “imposter syndrome” by taking a chance on yourself

• How even the most mundane role can lead to a dream job

• Be a giver in your professional connections, not just an exploiter

• How to keep communication going so your networking lasts

Decent

This book is a KISS type of publication, for some the advice maybe ground breaking but I fear for most it will not. Still, if you have it included in your membership its worth a listen even as just a reminder of how to better connect and build a network with others.

short and sweet

Some tips and essential knowledge that will help you going into a networking event.
I would reccomend as although this sort of information is available in a lot of different books and courses, this is a great collection learned by the author and constructed well, very good to listen while on the way to the networking event as a reminder.

Bland, meaningless statements, how is this a book?

So glad to hear you had a privileged upbringing. “Idyllic childhood”. With a very successful grandma, who you loved very much, that’s a truly a beautiful thing. Then you were educated at Yale, eh, nice! This was followed by leadership roles in global corporations. Amazing.
So now you’re passing on your wisdom.,.
“Identify your purpose”
“Demonstrate your strength”
Reach out but have a purpose”.
Wow! Is that it? I doubled checked - yes, that’s it. The sum total of this audible (book?/PR piece/ autobiography?)
I don’t know what this is, but it’s not a book.
So I’m removing it from my library.
