Summary
Wynne might have been human once. It's hard to say.
Now he's a bunker core, a nanomachine controller responsible for an entire complex.
Of course, the place is a bit wrecked. And the world outside is in ruins. And he's pretty sure that whoever put him here is going to come looking for him at some point. And then there's the raiders....
Bunker Core is dungeon core, post-apocalyptic style. Come for the mutants, stay for the dystopian adventure!

Darker than expected, all the better for it!
Very decent story, keeps a good pace, believable characters.
I enjoyed the consistent feel of a the post-apocalyptic world, the world is a 'Mad Max' / 'Fallout (games)' like hell-hole, and the people who live in it are tough because they need to be. Stuff breaks and people die, and the characters in this story know how to deal with that.
Pet peeves:
- The world opens up fast in the second half of the book, perhaps a bit too fast for some readers.
- Characters keep having an 'idea', 'surprise' or 'insert-cliff-hanger' at the end of a chapter, which the reader has little to no bearing on. Can have the effect that the reader feels left out of the loop or plot.
- Needs the second book to feel like a complete story

narrator excellent and story only improves it
I love the use of what one can only describe to be game theory as a means to help with the heavy lifting of restrictions and what not. The main character we'r introduced to is fasinating and i've come to want to listen more and more, a vicious cycle, but one i was all too happy to induldge in. But as i finish the book, i can only shudder and i ask. "When will the next one be out"

Refreshing take on dungeon cord genre
Good first book looking forward to seeing where the series is taken. Apocalypse AI battles are a lot more interesting than I thought they would and want more.

Post Apocalyptic-ish But Lighthearted
Wow, wasn't sure what this was going to be, the picture looks like D&D but the description doesn't match.
If you liked the Bobaverse then give this a whirl, well written with an easy pace and excellently narrated.
