Oh wow!!! I just loved this book. There is so many different layers to this mystery that it kept me hooked until the very end, either chuckling or sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. This is book 11 in this great series and the listener is in for a bit of a surprise, especially if you have been with the series right from the start but it can be listened to as a standalone. Once again it's the characters that stand out and the reason I enjoyed the book so much. They are well rounded characters that you just can't help but care about and what happens to them. So this book is a must read as it focus on
Police Chief David O’Callaghan but of course Gnarly and David is right be his side. The mystery starts with the deaths of two police officers and then goes back in time to explain the circumstance leading up to the deaths. I think this works really well as it builds up the suspense of what was to come. The mystery takes a number of twists with each new death. Another book that leaves me wanting to start the next book straight away.
Police Chief David O’Callaghan and Chelsea Adams have finally put the past behind them and will soon be walking down the aisle together but David past has thrown up one last obstacle in the way to there happiness. David and his step brother have to travel to New York in order to track down David's wife. A drunken night in Las Vegas leaves David with a wife he knew nothing about. Unforseen circumstances sees Gnarly tagging along for the journey and his nose soon has the brothers investigating a murder. The discovery of the body in the tv stations walls triggers another violent death, one that has David wondering if he will still be alive to get married.
I liked the narrator. He helps to bring the story to life and has fun doing it.
