Summary

Zion moved to Sequoia after the suspicious death of her biological mother. In her will, Vivian Bradley left her a coffee shop, a cottage, and a new beginning. In return, Zion helped solve her murder.

Growing up, Zion knew she was adopted, but her adoptive parents, Joe and Gabi Sawyer, were enough for her. She never longed to find her biological family. In fact, she never thought to question who her father was or whether she had siblings she didn’t know about.

However, when a woman calls, claiming to be her long-lost sister, Zion has to decide if she wants anything to do with this unknown side of her family. Not only that, but her sister wants her help to prove their father did not commit murder.

Can Zion make peace with a man who never wanted to be her father? Can she save him from a murder conviction? More importantly, should she?

Another great instalment in the Zion Sawyer stories

I love Zion’s character and where she lives is so welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and Kelley Hazen brings them to life with her great voices. However as an English person I feel I should warn fellow countrymen that the phrases used and the voice used are unfortunately how some people perceive us to be rather than how we are. But this small niggle wouldn’t stop me listening again to this book. I highly recommend you read Zion Sawyer books

I'm moving to Sequoia!!

Yes, you read that correctly. I am moving to Sequoia. I love the characters, not just Zion and Tate, but all the quirky people that add so much humor and dimension to this series. I adore the names of the shops, the sense of community, etc. The list goes on and on... it just seems so intriguing and that is before you include the elements of murder and mystery.

As usual ML Hamilton has sensitively and humourous written a wonderful addition to the Zion Sawyer Cozy Mystery. Zions love life and career are moving forward successfully. Her amateur dabbling in solving murder mysteries is successful too. Perhaps too successful because it garners the attention of the public as tourists flock to Sequoia to catch a glimpse of the red headed sleuth. Meanwhile Zion has tough decisions to make about the message she received at the end of the last book.

Kelley Hazen has done a fantastic job of narrating not only this book but the whole series. I always forget that she is just one voice artist performing all the characters. She has adapted her performance to really highlight the personalities and styles of each character.

Overall, i loved it!!
