About this listen
Six works in one collection!
Influenced by the treatment of the misfortunate poor in London’s mid-Victorian streets, A Christmas Carol recounts the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, a stingy businessman, who is visited by apparitions who show him the error in his ways and inspire him to be a better person.
The story, written by Charles Dickens, reveals the impact and role that Christmas traditions had in the lifestyles of Londoners at the time based on social and economic status. Ultimately, Scrooge sees how his future will be determined if he chooses to continue down the path of greed and selfishness, and he is persuaded to live his life full of generosity and kindness.
You can travel back through time to the Christmas season during the Victorian era with Charles Dickens’ cast of characters in the Charles Dickens Complete Christmas Collection.
You will stay on the edge of your seat as Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by apparitions from his past, present and future on Christmas Eve in A Christmas Carol, transforming his life forever.
In The Chimes, listen as the bells chime signifying the passage of time.
Consistent with Dicken’s depiction of greed and selfishness, one of the characters in The Cricket on the Hearth ultimately transforms his miserly ways in a show of kindness and empathy.
The Battle of Life takes life’s struggles to a new level in this small-town love story.
Grief and sorrow threaten to consume the protagonist during the Christmas Season in The Haunted Man and the Ghost’s Bargain.
Lastly, the life and moral values of Charles Dickens are revealed and discussed in the original biography The Life of Dickens.
Each of the stories in the collection will warm your heart whether you listen to them during the holiday season or any other time of the year.

each story brings a different vibe,
What I loved most is the variety—each story brings a different vibe, from redemption and generosity to love and grief. The Haunted Man was a bit heavier for me, but it balanced out the lighter tales like The Cricket on the Hearth. It’s not just holiday cheer; there’s depth here that makes you think.
The biggest drawback was the runtime. At nearly 18 hours, it’s a commitment, and some stories felt like they dragged, especially if you’re not fully invested in Dickens' style. Still, the narration kept it engaging, even during the slower parts.

All the Christmas magic in one collection
This book is perfect for anyone who loves classic Christmas stories. A Christmas Carol is, of course, the standout with its heartwarming message about generosity and second chances. But the other stories are just as wonderful! The Chimes and The Cricket on the Hearth are cozy and uplifting, while The Battle of Life and The Haunted Man and the Ghost’s Bargain bring unique twists with themes of love, sorrow, and redemption.
I also enjoyed the bonus biography The Life of Dickens, which gave me a better understanding of the man behind these timeless tales. This collection is perfect for the holidays or whenever you need a little warmth and inspiration. If you’re a fan of Dickens or Christmas stories, this is a must-read!

Excellent classic collection!
Charles Dickens' Complete Christmas Collection is well narrated and brings together not only the iconic A Christmas Carol, but also lesser-known gems like The Chimes and The Haunted Man and the Ghost's Bargain. Each story trademarked with Dickens' wit, moral insight, and vivid characterizations, is a testament to his genius.
A Christmas Carol is the most famous story in the collection, with Ebenezer Scrooge's redemptive arc resonating as strongly today as it did over a century ago.
Highly recommended if you like classic literature, holiday traditions, or simply anyone in need of a little festive cheer. This collection is a gift to treasure, year after year.

I absolutely loved this
"A Christmas Carol" stood out to me the most, it’s such a timeless reminder that it’s never too late to change for the better. I found Scrooge’s transformation deeply moving, especially when he realized the importance of kindness and generosity. It made me reflect on how small acts of compassion can make a big difference in my own life and relationships. The other stories, like The Cricket on the Hearth and The Haunted Man, also captured Dickens’ ability to blend hope and humanity, making this collection a truly heartwarming experience.
