About this listen
On the winter solstice Bren gets pulled into the Celtic Otherworld, where he uncovers a grave threat looming over the world. Armed with ancient magic and guided by legendary figures from Celtic mythology, Bren embarks on a perilous quest to retrieve relics said to hold the key to restoring balance.
But as he delves deeper into the mysteries of his own identity and confronts the shadows of his past, Bren realizes that his journey is not just about saving the Otherworld— it's about discovering the hero within himself.

Great fiction based on Celtic folklore
A captivating story that builds on Celtic folklore, weaving a rich universe of myth, mystery, and adventure. The world-building is exceptional, drawing you into an immersive realm where every corner feels alive with history and magic. The characters are deeply developed, each with their own complexities, motivations, and arcs that keep you invested from start to finish. The writer masterfully creates a multi-layered world full of intrigue, making every twist and turn feel earned and meaningful. If you enjoy stories with a deep sense of culture, intricate plots, and compelling characters, this audiobook is definitely worth a listen.

A nice spin in the genre with a unique system
For a litrpg the system in this book is familiar yet still different enough to be origin. The characters are all consistent and rational in their actions/PoV's. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in something that hits slightly differently but hits all the right notes.

A Good Listen
I'm not sure how I feel about the main character. Sometimes he's a moron. Sometimes he's pretty clever. overall though, the book was worth the listen and the narrator was pretty good and I'm looking forward to finishing the series.

Great mix of folk stories and progression fantasy
A refreshing change for the genre, The boons system gives the progression feeling, but rather than the usual opponents there are creatures from celtic folk stories. well worth a listen
