About this listen
Cora and Ronan have been chosen to represent their zones at the Mating Grounds—a genetic diversity breeding program run by the government. Can they choose a mate before their year is up or will they be assigned to someone and lose out on their chance at a love match?
Cora has been homesteading with her family in the wastes for most of her life. After moving to the city and being appalled with her choice in suitors, she’s chosen and sent to The Mating Grounds. Will she be able to find her perfect match or will she be continually disappointed in love?
Ronan is one of the last eligible men in his Zone. When he’s sent away to The Mating Grounds to find a partner, he makes a horrible first impression. Can he overcome his embarrassment and rectify the situation before his ideal girl writes him off for good?
If you enjoy dystopian romances (like Katniss and Peeta’s), a race to partner up (are they your type ‘on paper’?) and a shot of heavy angst, then you’ll love Chosen for You.

Cute Sci fi Romance
Okay this was such a cute story with loveable characters, who actually communicate when things seem to go wrong. It’s super short and I absolutely loved it. I’m not a huge Sci Fi fan, but this has me hooked completely.
Cora and Ronan are picked as chosen from their different zones for the mating ritual and end up becoming close from day one, turning into a relationship which makes them be a mated pair. I love the personalities of both of them as well as getting a short back story on both of them. I liked the fact it’s dual POV as well, which makes you understand the characters even more.

Quick listen has potential
The concept of a government-run breeding program was super intriguing, but the romance moved way too fast even for an insta-love story.
The narrator was good overall, but some of the emotional moments felt a little flat. It was an easy listen, but I wish they had added more energy in certain parts.
Would I Recommend?
Maybe! If you like quick dystopian romances and don’t mind some insta-love, it’s a decent listen. But if you’re looking for deeper character development, it might not be your thing.
Not a bad start for a series, but I will give the next book a listen as well.
