Lorcán Kennedy is a take-no-prisoner vampire whose grit is tested when slain vampires start showing up in his sector. His investigation reveals a blessed weapon was used in the slayings, which leads him to a rogue hunter with a grudge against vampires.
Christian Wolfe is a no-nonsense hunter who believes the only good vampire is a dead one, but his code of honor keeps his hatred in check. When his integrity is questioned, he will do anything to defend it, including work with his enemy.
Vampire and hunter unite to solve the case, although for very different reasons. Lorcán wants to prove he is worthy of his Regent title once and for all. Christian wants to uncover who is framing him for the vampire deaths. It sounds easy enough, but neither are prepared for the desire that arcs between them when their eyes meet for the first time. When longing glances give way to passionate kisses and scorching touches, these powerful beings will learn that their bond goes beyond mere attraction. It is fate.

hoping for the next book
I have a feeling there will be another one but I find it hard to read that is why I love audible.
these books are so good and I have listened to them more than one xxx

Amazing
This has to be the best audible I have listened to, the story is potent enough. And yet when Joel brought it to life Im blown away. I love this book. He knocked Lorcan out of the ballpark.

Laugh out loud
Very funny, great listening laugh out loud audio with great narration. Some parts was a bit soppy but all in all I enjoyed it

LOVED IT!!
It was DAMN GOOD! Much, much better than the first one.
Fated mate characters with an enemies-to-lovers romance, a dash of forced proximity (because they need to work together and so spend a lot of times meeting/together) and hot as hell s€x scenes = *chef's kiss*

Good book and series
I really enjoyed the book. It was interesting and the narrator was very good. My only negative is that the book ended in a way that would make you think that another book would be written in the series, though after all of this time it is clear that there won't be a third book. There was actually a cliffhanger at the end of the book involving a character that was introduced early in the story along with a character that was introduced later.. Aside from that, it was still a very good book since the cliffhanger didn't involve the two MCs.

Liked it - Much better than the first one
This book was much better than the first one and I enjoyed it a lot. I am looking forward to the next one in the series.

Enjoyable
Took me a, while to get into this book but I picked it because I love Joel the narrator. Once the first 15 mins had passed I started enjoying it. I accidentally listened to this one first but I see from the reviews that this is far better than the first book.
