Summary

What’s good music? Isn’t it all just a matter of opinion?

Aesthetic relativism dominates our contemporary conception of music. As classical Christian educators, how do we effectively teach Truth, Goodness, and Beauty in the midst of so much musical dissonance?

In this thought-provoking book, Dr. Steve Turley will guide you through the key features of a classical conception of music, define the major differences between classical and pop music, and show you how to teach students to love music in a profound way that makes room for both. As such, you’ll get the information you need to transform music as a sonic source of wisdom and virtue in the lives of your students.

What Happened To The Audible on Music?

Turley begins very well speaking about music, - then just as it begins to get really interesting, the "Music" as listed in the title totally stopped and was taken over by what seems to be a series of his radio broadcasts and political rants about Globalisation, New World Order theories and Brexit, Nationalism etc, - made worse by no warning, and as he starts a fresh chapter on C S Lewis, his voice is overdubbed with another voice application had started - but no, - Turley spends the rest (the majority) of the Audible ranting about radical politics ! Should come with a health warning, as it was very disorientating. Waste of money, unless my Audible copy has been hacked in some way?
