Summary

Courtney Stone - sassy, smart and suddenly single - has always felt she might have been better suited to life in Jane Austen’s England. Then one evening, having drifted off to sleep after self-medicating with pizza, Absolut, and Elizabeth and Darcy, Courtney wakes up in 19th-century England, in the body and bed of a girl called Jane Mansfield....

A laugh-out-loud romp with a Regency heart, this delightful debut is a truly modern comedy of manners.

Intriguing

The American accent and pronunciation grates at first but perserverence allows reader to enjoy a story about an intriguing juxtaposition of a C21st girl in Regency England. Often amusing but interesting comparison of two differing worlds. The ending is slightly vague but in keeping with the will she won't she get back to her "real" world.
