Summary
Myrtle has decided that she’s actually a very good cook. In fact, she feels she’s such a good cook that she elects to hone her skills at a cooking school. She persuades her reluctant friend Miles to join her, convinced they both could use some inspiration in the kitchen.
This cooking school enrolls one rather loud-mouth student who quickly makes everyone fed up. This unfortunate student, fond of telling tales out of school, learns that one man’s meat is another man’s poison. Myrtle and Miles must use their detecting skills to learn who’s been schooled in murder before someone else’s goose gets cooked.

Myrtle, Miles and the gnomes are back
Myrtle, her sidekick Miles and the gnomes are back and just as funny as ever. I love this series and the author has made it very near to the top of my must read as soon as they come out list. That is because I know I will soon be chuckling along with the characters as they find themselves in all sorts of trouble and the idea of Myrtle Clover in a cooking class is just hilarious. This is book 11 in the series and if like me you have enjoyed the series then you know that Myrtle can not cook to save her life. It didn't disappoint (and I don't think it is giving away any plot spoilers to say that she still can't). The mystery was good and with plenty of suspects the octogenarian sure has her work cut out for her (and me). There is so much about this book that I really enjoyed from the gnome display in the garden to the cat Pasha attacking everyone that it might be easier just to say get the book sit back and prepare to laugh.
Myrtle has signed her and Miles up for cooking lessons at the local collage. Where they find more than they were bargaining for. Wanda the pyschic meets them outside to pass on her usually dire prediction of danger but this time it is for Miles. They make it through the cooking lesson without incident but one of there class mates is so lucky. The loud ex pupil of Myrtle's told her that everybody in the class hated him and it turns out he was right. Myrtle wants to host a dinner party and put into practice everything she's learnt in class it's not her fault that all the suspects will be there. Can she cook up a storm and find the killer before Wanda's prediction about Miles comes true?
I like the narrator and I am glad that the author has decided that she is the best narrator to bring Myrtle and her friends to life.
