About this listen

An Ufthak Blackhawk Audiobook

Ufthak Blackhawk reckons he’s in for it. Da Meklord has summoned him, and the Gargantsmasha just knows his boss wants to kick his teef in and be done with it.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

Ufthak Blackhawk faces the Drukhari in the teeming flesh pits of their dark city of Commorragh as he finds himself challenged to gladiatorial combat against the masters of pain.

THE STORY

Out of options, Ufthak leads his Waaagh! through the mysterious webway, to a place where kunnin’, sneakin’, and thinkin’ are the name of the game. A place with little truck for muscle and brawn – Commorragh, the Dark City.

Here, where kabals and haemonculus covens pump psychic viscera into the warp, Ufthak is thrown into gladiatorial combat and soon finds himself up against an archon who will stop at nothing to prove she deserves to rule the Dark City – even if it means bringing Commorragh down around her.

But the Drukhari are about to discover that while orks may be simple, very little about them is ever straightforward.

The Narrator is Golden

I enjoyed this book from start to finish. I use audiobooks to fall asleep - these ones I'd just listen until I knew it was several hours past when I needed to be asleep and would just take the headphones off. This narrator is nothing short of masterful, and of course, we have the fantastic Mike Brooks to thank for the extremely enjoyable, well written story. I hope this narrator goes and re-voices all of Brooks' work. Match made in British heaven. Thank you to the both of you, I hope you know you're doing fabulous work entertaining people!

Zoggin great

Really good continuation of both snaggy and ufthak’s stories while introducing another to enter the mix. Funny and fun, narrator really suits Ork books, look forward to the next instalment!

Cunning, yet brutal

I genuinely don’t think hearing Ork stories could ever get old, not only was this well written and easy to invest myself in, but excellently voice acted to the point where I’m starting to think the voice actor may in fact be an Ork in disguise. Excellent all around from start to finish, can’t wait for the next one.

Weird marketing

The cover and description both tell of a action packed Ork adventure.
What it doesnt tell you is that half the book is a slow burn dark eldar romance (they blush when they hold hands)
