About this listen

An Imperial Agents Audiobook

Zealous and uncompromising, Inquisitor Torquemada Coteaz is the scourge of cultist and daemon alike, striking fear into the hearts of the Emperor’s foes. As lord inquisitor and High Protector of the Formosa Sector, he wields terrible power, able to purge entire systems of the taint of Chaos and heresy, with a legion of agents and interrogators at his disposal.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

What happens when the long decades of horror start to take their toll? Find out whether the legendary Inquisitor Coteaz can continue to spread the God-Emperor’s judgement as his body reaches the limits of its endurance.

THE STORY

When sinister tidings from a forgotten corner of the Formosa Sector hint at spectres from his past, Inquisitor Coteaz must face a terrible choice – abandon his throne to those who covet it or cling to power by shattering the very bounds of mortality. All the while, other forces are at work in the darkness, and should Coteaz succumb to their alluring power, billions will fall with him.

Fantastic Fanatism

Religion and the blindness it imposes on cultures is always an emotive subject and the depths that those subsumed is really the subject matter for this, interesting and intriguing, great narration enhances the experience

stagnation at it's best

Prime example of why the Imperium is where it is.

A good set of characters with some development which leaves space for more books.

gives a bit more flavour of the role of the inquisition and why the weird things happen in the setup of other stories.

and chaos doing it's thing, which is always fun.

Had its moments

Had it's moments exploring all the fun amd strange things inquisitors do, it was difficult to engage with the other characters much and there was a bit too much bolter action.

Definitely a book to relax to in your free time

I found myself getting really like the character of Coteaz which I admit I wasn’t very interested in. Definitely slow and steady but in a good way and with a good plot to boot.
