Großartig

kürzlich fiel mir auf, daß ich noch nie GG gelesen hatte. Das wollte ich schleunigst nachholen und hab diesen Text ausgewählt, weil mich das Thema 30-jahriger Krieg interessiert. Was für eine (peinlich späte) Entdeckung. Grass schreibt großartig und liest großartig. Er hat gründlich recherchiert, spart nicht mit Ironie und Sprachwitz. Mir gefällt besonders wie er die realen Figuren in seine fiktive Geschichte flicht, und der Bezug zur Neuzeit. Er hat Ein Buch, das so viel mehr gibt als ein kurzes Hörvergnügen. Auf den Butt habe ich noch immer keine Lust, ich glaube, ich werde mich an die Hundsjahre machen.
