Summary

This much-loved novel was, by Dickens' own admission, his 'favorite child'. It is easy to see why, with its colorful characters ranging from the repulsive Uriah Heep to the endlessly improvident Micawbers, and dominated throughout by the moving story of David's search for a family and a home.

Too abridged

Whoever abridged this book has butchered
this most wonderful timeless story.
But as always Anton Lesser gives a peerless reading /performance of Dickens.

Why don’t you say it’s abridged

It’s abridged!! Unhappy to miss out on Dickens’ wonderful story despite good narration. Must be more alert to this in future.
