Summary
David Suchet sets out to establish what connects three of the world's major religions - and critically what divides them - as he travels the world on a personal pilgrimage of discovery.
Judaism, Islam and Christianity share far more in common than the abhorrent acts of extremists would ever suggest. When the roots of the three Abrahamic faiths are shared, why is it that they foster dissent, intolerance and disagreement? What unites them and what divides them? Is God a warmonger or a peacemaker? Why do some believers commit violence in God's name?
With the help of experts and former extremists, David sets out to answer these and many other questions.
From Jerusalem and London to New York and Northern Ireland, David investigates the motivations and twisted justifications behind religious terrorism. He reveals stories from inside high security jails and the minds of fanatics. He meets with leading scholars, survivors of extremism, reformed hate preachers and a whole host of contributors who might be able to help him get to the truth of why so much evil is justified in the name of God.
This is the story of how religion impacts society on many fundamental levels and sets humanity against itself.

Inspiring and thoughtful
I really appreciated this thoughtful examination of the three Abrahamic faiths. Rather than try to find simple answers or impose his own views, David Suchet genuinely seeks to understand the relationship between the three faiths. I really hope there is a second series. Suchet is a wonderful narrator.

Not Interesting
Religious rubbish, only of interest if you believe in this twaddle. Could cure religious conflict only when the world grows up, this is not helping

Amazing insights
I have had these podcasts in my library for sometime but the recent troubles in Israel and Gaza led me to listen to them all. It is incredibly relevant and although there are no easy answers to religious conflicts it is clear that peace is a mindset and will happen when enough people hold this intent in their heart. David Suchet is an amazing narrator and also a good interviewer. The wide ranging opinions he explores give a real breadth to the issues involved. Thank you very much for producing this.

Enthralled!
Absolutely mesmerising. Both personal and factual, his incredible writing and narration takes the listener to be stood right there with them. I’ve been to the places he’s writing about and can confirm that they are exactly as he describes. A real joy and a very interesting listen regardless of your faith.

Well worth the time
These 30 min segments are attempts to answer questions of faith among the branches of the Abrahamic family. I loved it, and am still contemplating much of the content. You will find yourself surprised and delighted, and all the while challenged to be better.

Peace in religion
Phenominal audio documentary about our prejudices towards religious people and religion answering the question of: “Can there be peace between the three Abrahamic faiths?” But I also heard stories that show a power in religion of forgiveness and respect and cooperation. Great listen!

So interesting, humbling and moving
Thank you for this fantastic documentary. I admit my ignorance with religion, but this opened my mind and heart to the different faiths. It was humbling to hear how different faiths lived side by side or forgave atrocities. David Suchet, thank you!
