Sid preserved these memories for his young son, Kobe, with the assistance of writer Patricia Collins Schwindt. Kobe was raised in America, long after the Cambodian genocide. Without his father’s story being recorded, Kobe might never know what it was like to endure such atrocities or the wisdom that came from it.
