Absolutely wonderful.
An absolutely wonderful book. The multi-layered plot keeps you on the edge of your seat, the characters are awesome, and I loved the end. Abbie Pfaff does a sterling job narrating the book.
A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

Another case for the bartender sleuth
This is the third book in the series and it certainly maintains the quality and enjoyment of the first two. In this story Avalon is reunited with a childhood friend who is now a genuine film star.
But he now has a secret and a problem, women he is associated with are dying in suspicious circumstances. Is he the still same person she knew? She must dig through the glitz, glamour and high-priced, lawyers of movie-star land to find out what is really happening.
I have to admit that I didn't manage to spot the guilty party until just before they were revealed, which find to be the mark of a really good mystery. It doesn't hurt that along with an original story there are also some extremely well written characters and great descriptions of the locations, especially the town of Tranquility, which I can almost believe really exists.
A great listen, enhanced by the superb narration.

Another brilliant mystery
Avalon is thrilled when her old school friend and crush turns up in town. But that joy turns to fear when he brings danger with him. This is a great mystery which held my attention from start to finish. It was great to catch up with some of the characters from the previous books.
As always Abbie Pfaff's narration is excellent

Reaching for the stars
I enjoyed this book. It was a lot slower than the previous books as it needed to introduce a lot of new characters and the situation surrounding the murders. However I did think the murder investigation got pushed into the background as the past friendships and stalkers got all the attention. Avalon also doesn't really do any investigating into the murders and rather than solve the
murders, she stumbles over the killer. It did seem more like a romance at times, with you wondering which man she was going to end up with. The story still gets broken up with the annoying cocktail recipes at the end of each chapter, I think if the author needed to included recipes they should have been at the back of the book, then anybody not interested in them could skip it more easily without breaking up the flow of the mystery. Despite the number of suspects I had worked out who the killer was and you were given a big clue as to why. Having said all that i did enjoy the story and hope there are more books to come.
The big film festival has finally arrived and with Saucy Sally about to reveal her secret the small town of Tranquility is ready. That is until a dead body is discovered in the cinema and two famous star and there Entourage, including stalkers. Local bartender Avalon thought she left that life behind when she hopped onto a train. Instead she finds herself playing host to the actors and trying to keep there location a secret. Can she keep her old friend safe and away from crazy stalkers? Especially when there is a connection between him and the dead girls?
I like the narrator. She makes the story come to life and makes it fun while doing it.

murder
Loved the of narration Abbie Pfaff. She makes the characters and plot come to life. Making this a pure pleasure to listen to.
Avalon is now the bartender in Tranquility, NY. For some unknown reason, she finds dead bodies. And like all good bartenders, uses the information told to her and own skills to help solve the crimes. It's not just Hollywood stars that have come to town, but stalking and murder also came to town. This is a great story with twists and turns and a thrilling ending.

Bartenders Guide to Murder.
This third book in the series is an excellent listen. Well paced with great characters it keeps you guessing as to who is the murderer until the very end. Avalon once again gets involved in investigating the death, this time of an actor who she knew well from her college days. Plenty of twists and turns along the way. Highly recommended. Abbie Pfaff's narration is great and really brings the book and characters to life.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the narrator and leave this honest review.
