Summary

The air is lethal in Altenbyrne.

There is no escaping the poisonous fog within the kingdom’s walls. The river is infested with deadly grinderfish, and creatures beyond the wall prey on those who venture out. Without a life mask, no one can survive. While the wealthy get all the lifemasks they need, people like Tristin and his sister, Makenna, only get one each.

After Tristin’s failed attempt to save their mother from a dying mask, he and Makenna are forced to flee the all-powerful Angel of Justice. To hide, they cross the treacherous Slaybyrne River where a ragged group of outlaws live. But Tristin isn’t satisfied with merely hiding while others still die from failing masks. He dreams of a better world. Using his secret God of Speed, he sneaks back into the city to steal life masks from the rich, a crime punishable by death.

The Angel is coming.

Tristin can’t run forever.

Join the author of Tamed and the The Light of Epertase trilogy for a unique fantasy take on the classic Robin Hood theme in Death of the Grinderfish.

Simply brilliant, 100% recommended

I was given a free copy of this book and I'm leaving an honest and voluntary review.

I couldn't stop listening to this book, its drew me in and keep me thoroughly entertained. Such a great concept, and very aptly delivered in this incredibly well written adventure. the characters themselves are perfectly suited to the story, each one adding a little more depth to this already we'll detailed book. There is just right amount of everything you'd want and need in a good story like this, even the sadness helps bring the whole this together.
The narration is absolutely flawless, Peter Leppard bring the whole story to life, and definitely gives the characters their own personality, An award winning performance.
I would 100% recommend this, its a must!
